E-Z UP created the first Instant Shelter in 1983 and has been delivering high quality canopies, shelters and related products ever since. The company’s award winning digital printing capabilities now serve over 100 countries and have been utilized by over 60% of Fortune 500 companies. E-Z UP’s digital printing on fabric allows customers to use more complex graphics to promote their brand.
E-Z UP had identified a customer segment that did not need the fully customized, white glove approach to fulfilling Instant Shelter orders. This opportunity would also reduce the demand on internal design teams responsible for custom design orders.
The ideal solution would quickly guide customers through the product customization process. At the end of the process showcasing a real-time proof of the customized canopy on the shelter. It would also provide production teams with the appropriate requirements to produce the order.
Artifi Labs was selected to provide E-Z UP customers the opportunity to quickly customize shelters. To increase speed of order, upfront pricing was configured based upon limited canopy area customization selections. Also increasing speed to order and reducing design fatigue, only the most popular colors are offered with frame colors preset to canopy color.
After color and customization area selections, customers are able to add art files to the customizable areas. Additionally customers can add text to customizable areas of the canopy. Upon completion of the customization process customers are able to review a full 3D preview of the customized shelter.
Post configuration of Artifi, E-Z UP has seen a 4000% increase in orders utilizing the new product customization process.
