Improving Love Your Melon's Customer Experience
Founded in 2012, Love Your Melon is an apparel brand specializing in the production of hats. With a mission to support the fight against pediatric cancer, the brand donates 50% of their profit to research organizations and gives a hat to a child with cancer for every sale made. To date, Love Your Melon has donated 109,308 beanies and $2,668,259 toward cancer research initiatives.
Love Your Melon’s core centers around making a meaningful impact in the fight against pediatric cancer. As part of that mission, Love Your Melon partners with other organizations and hosts events to raise awareness and funds for the cause. Wanting to commemorate these partnerships and create a custom giveaway, Love Your Melon began looking for a way to customize their hero product: the beanie.
There were three things Love Your Melon knew they wanted in a product configurator:
- The ability to co-brand the iconic brown leather patch
- To give partners and customers the access to fully customize the look of the beanie
- To keep the configurator's theme and layout consistent with the brand's site
Based on the scope of the project, Love Your Melon chose Artifi Labs to help with their product customization needs.
Artifi Labs worked closely with Love Your Melon to create a custom layout for the product configurator to match their brand and site. Understanding a configurator inherently adds additional steps onto the customer journey, Artifi Labs designed the layout to reduce the number of clicks needed to purchase. Now, users who customized a hat on the Love Your Melon site experienced a simple and efficient ordering and checkout process.
